Family Eye Care / Children’s Eye Center of New Mexico is proud to be an investigator for the Pediatric Eye Disease Investigator Group (PEDIG). This study group consists of pediatric ophthalmologists from around the U.S., both university-based and private practice. We conduct clinical trials in many areas of pediatric ophthalmology including amblyopia, strabismus, and nasolacrimal duct obstruction. This helps other families decide which treatments are best for their children. PEDIG is partially funded by the National Eye Institute (NEI). The NEI is a division of the National Institute of Health (NIH). Monetary compensation will be given to families who enroll children in the studies below. The study will pay for most of the supplies needed by your child. Some of the supplies needed would be eye drops, patches, and glasses
