The decision to have surgery can be stressful and difficult. Our goal is to make scheduling surgery as efficient and stress-free as possible.

Once you and your doctor decide to schedule surgery, the doctor will fill out a surgery request form and give it to our surgery scheduler. The surgery scheduler then:

• Verifies insurance eligibility
• Verifies which hospital you are allowed to use based on your insurance carrier
• Obtains prior authorization for the surgery, if necessary

The hospitals and surgery centers assign our doctors only certain days and times to do surgery. Our surgery scheduler will contact you to go over the available dates and facilities and schedule your pre-operatve, surgery, and post-operative appointment times.

We do our best to meet your needs during this process, and we encourage you to be sure of the date you choose. It is very difficult for our office and the hospital or surgery center to reschedule a surgery.
